Traveling in Botswana
This is a country of adventure, challenge and discovery. The Okavango Delta is truly one of the seven wonders of the world and has become known by conservationists as the jewel of the Kalahari - the mokoro trails, overnight camping on islands and highlands, fighting the mighty Tiger fish, surveying the vastness from elephant and horse back, admiring the prolific bird and wildlife and discovery of weird and wonderful plant and tree species on bush walks.

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge
View of the Lodge from the lake, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is set high on a plateau, which forms a natural boundary to the unfenced Zambezi National Park, and is just four kilometres from the majestic Victoria Falls. The lodge with all its natural beauty and tranquillity is only four minutes by our courtesy bus service from the buzz of the town and the roar of the Falls.

The Okavango, however, is only one facet of the wilderness that awaits you. For the optimum wildlife experience, we suggest the other great gameviewing areas: the drylands of the Okavango in the Moremi: Chobe National Park including Savute - the kingdom of the lion; the endless stretches of the wild Kalahari and Makgadikgadi and the big tusker country of the Tuli.

Our approach to tailor-making safaris is to give clients an intense experience of the areas visited. This means concentrating on the highlights of the 4 wildlife and wilderness experiences. A stay in a water camp to explore the Delta wetlands by motorised boats or by mokoro (the traditional dug-out canoes). A stay in a land camp to view the great variety of game and birdlife in open safari vehicles. A venture into the Chobe National Park including Savute, a harsh land where the battle for survival is desperate and prides of African lion are dominant. A mobile safari tracking migratory herds of game through the endless vistas of the wild Kalahari. In addition, there are special interest safaris which will take you to the lesser known areas and add a unique touch to your Botswana sojourn.
