Popular areas to visit in Natal include:
the beautiful Drakensberg Mountains about a 3 to 4 hour drive from Durban or Johannesburg. Tthe popular Midlands region and the Midlands Meander, known for its guest houses, arts & crafts shops, cheese factories, cafe's and pubs, etc.

The city of Durban is the fastest growing city in South Africa and with its harbour brings in much of the "industrial material" required throughout the Southern African region.

The tropical Northern Coastal beaches, stretching from Durban up north to the Mozambique border.



The South Coast "Golf Coast" stretching south from Durban to the popular Wild Coast Sun Resort, with its numerous, quality golf courses and resorts, is a golfers paradise! The Selborne Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort in particular, with a spectacular 18 hole golf course and private beach is a good and luxurious hotel option.

A variety of different bush camps, beach reserves and adventure destinations are available in the northern parts of Zululand and the North Coast, including Mkuze Falls Private Game Reserve, Shayamoya Lodge, and game reserves such as Hluhluwe, Umfolozi and Mkuzi are well worth a visit.



The Battlefields region, in northern Natal near Dundee is also popular, particularly Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift, which offers an interesting insight into our British and Zulu War History.
