How do I book my safari and how early should I make reservations?

We encourage you to plan your Afrian Safari as far in advance as possible, several months at a minimum, to ensure a better selection of Lodges and camp availability. This is especially important if you are planning to travel during the African safari "high season" (July through October).

The best way to start is to have a good look through our website. It's packed with information on the countries and lodges / hotels we support. When you're ready, you can "start the ball rolling" in several ways. Alternatively, you can Mail us us or call us directly and we will be happy to answer any and all of your questions and tell you more about the whole process.

Once we have an a better understanding of your requirments we can begin picking out some itinerary options, general areas and activities of intrest, your available amount of time, and the general time you wish to travel. Apon which we will typically put together several options which may include specific African safari lodges, possibly a low versus high season pricing option, different add-ons to contemplate after your wildlife portion - perhaps a beach or island visit, Victoria Falls, or Cape Town; it all depends on your intent.

Public vs. Private Game Reserves

There are, however, certain restrictions to this option in that one has to be back at the camps by 18h00 each evening and you also do not get the wonderful opportunity of game drives in open 4wd vehicles. Alternatively, there are schedule tours that depart from Johannesburg that are operated by companies who make use of 4 wheel drive vehicles for game viewing. The choice is yours depending your on your budget and preferences.
