GOVERNMENT TAX

TOLL ROADS - SOUTH AFRICA

Toll costs range from R20.00 - R40.00
Visitors must ensure that they have South African currency available as toll roads are found most on the major routes
   
CROSS BORDER TRAVELLING

A letter of authorisation must be requested at the time of the reservation for all cross border travelling
Europcar will not be held responsible if a client is refused entry into another country.
Specific cross border information can be obtained from Europcar
Please note that Namibia have foreign exchange offices where clients can exchange South Africa rands or Namibian dollars to Botswana pula.
All vehicles entering Namibia will have to pay a Cross Border Charge. A Cross Border Certificate will be issued by the Namibian authorities
All cross border documentation is to be left in the glove compartment or handed to a Europcar representative
A penalty fee of up to R5000 may be levied if the documentation is no produced / found.

Europcar offer the only "free" mobile phone rental service in South Africa. This comprehensive and convenient free mobile Phone Rental Service is operated by Cell C Rental - a young and innovative company - a proudly South African product. Europcar clients will have the first 60 seconds of the first call made, free, in order to contact friends and family at home. Minimum rental - 3 consecutive days
