The 1700ha Grootbos Nature Reserve is home to a magnificent variety of plants and animals and is near a pristine 30km coastline with secluded swimming areas, white sandy beaches and archaeological important caves. Dedicated conservationists accompany guests on tailor-made activities such as flower-and-nature tours, 4x4 drives, horse riding and boat tours to see the Cape fur seals and African Penguins. From July - September, Grootbos offers close-up land and boat-based encounters with southern right whales.
