Scenic flights These flights provide an unrivalled bird's eye view of the majestic Falls, the gorges below the falls, the mighty Zambezi river and the surrounding areas. Elephant Back Safaris This awesome opportunity to interact with these magnificent animals and to understand their intelligence and willingness to act under instruction. Abseil or rap Jump 120m down a sheer rock face over the Zambezi. The Lookout, a thatched wooden structure provides a spectacular and breathtaking viewing platform for spectators and group lunches. Bungee Jumping Victoria Falls offers incredible bungee jumping off the Vic Falls Bridge, which spans the Zambezi river between Zimbabwe and Zambia. Jumpers leap into space to enjoy of the world's most spectacular jumps. 111 metres of pure adrenalin rush and breathtaking views - definitely not for the fainthearted!. tandem jumps are also possible. Bloukranz Bridge is in the Guinness Book of Records as the highest bungee jump in the world at 216 meters. Even if it is not for you, it is well worth holding your breath and watching others. On your adrenalin holiday of South Africa you can stop off for as long as you want and watch these adrenalin seeking daredevils. Some stats - the free fall takes 5 seconds, the stretching of the Bungy rope takes another 2 seconds. The first rebound is higher than the Victoria Falls Bridge jump and the second rebound is higher then the Gouritz Bridge, which is 65 meters. Your body accelerates to around 120mph before decelerating - Awesome stuff!!
Fly Fishing and Angling The Tiger fish, rated by many anglers as the finest sporting and flight fish in the world, is found in the waters of the upper Zambezi above the Falls. The best time for Tiger is August - March. The river has 75 different species of fish including 15 different species of bream. Angling consists of fly-fishing, spinning and bait-fishing. These excursions are led by experienced fishing guides with excellent knowledge of wildlife in general. The boats with a 50hp outboard motor, can navigate the gentle rapids and very shallow water. |
